Stay Happy, Healthy and Safe – 64

Just as a mirror reflects a mans face,

his personality is reflected in his choice of friends.

One must always be careful

in forming friendships and acquaintances,

for one’s friends,

are in a way,

an extension of one’s inner inclinations and tendencies!

-Chanakya

Chanakya  was an ancient Indian teacher, philosopher, economist, jurist and royal advisor. He is traditionally identified as Kauṭilya or Vishnugupta, who authored the ancient Indian political treatise, the Arthashastra, a text dated to roughly between the 3rd century BCE and the 3rd century CE. As such, he is considered the pioneer of the field of political science and economics in India, and his work is thought of as an important precursor to classical economics. His works were lost near the end of the Gupta Empire and not rediscovered until the early twentieth century. ….Wikipedia

  1. “One must always be careful
in forming friendships and acquaintances” –

We cannot be careful enough when forming friendships. And may I add one more thought: Quality is better than quantity.

Of course each person has to decide what “quality” means to him or her.

    1. We cannot be careful enough when forming friendships. Its true, but we may limit our acquaintances if its not worth.
Even I believe – Quality is better than quantity.
