रॅपन्ज़ेल सिंड्रोम Rapunzel syndrome

Rapunzel syndrome – Though its named after a fairy tale with happy ending, but Rapunzel syndrome is an extremely rare and dangerous medical condition . Where person eats hair. The eaten hair become tangled and trapped in their stomach. This causes a trichobezoar (hair ball) to form, which has a long tail extending into the small intestine. This Mental Disorders is part of obsessive-compulsive disorders.

 संस्मरण –

           यह एक सच्ची घटना है। तब मैं शायद 8 या 9  साल की थी। एक दिन मैं अपने माता पिता के साथ एक पारिवारिक मित्र के यहां पहली बार गई। उनकी बड़ी प्यारी और सुंदर सी बेटी थी। जो लगभग मेरे ही उम्र की थी। वह बार-बार मेरे साथ खेलना चाह रही थी। पर ना जाने क्यों, उसके माता-पिता उसे रोक रहे थे। आखिरकार, वह मेरे बगल में आकर बैठ गई। बड़े प्यार से वह मेरे हाथों और गालों को छू रही थी। मुझे लगा, शायद वह मुझसे दोस्ती करना चाहती है।

 

फिर अचानक उसने झपट्टा मारा। अपनी मुट्ठी में उसने मेरे खुले, काले और घने बालों को पकड़ लिया और झटके से खींच लिया। जितनी बाल टूट कर उसकी मुट्ठी में  आये। वह जल्दी-जल्दी उन्हें मुंह में डालकर खाने लगी।उसके माता-पिता ने जल्दी-जल्दी उसके हाथों से बाल लेकर फेंके।

यह घटना मेरे लिये बेहद डरावना  था। उस समय मैं बहुत भयभीत हो गई थी।  उसके माता-पिता ने बताया कि यह एक तरह का मनोरोग है। कुछ ही समय पहले उन्होंने अपनी बेटी के पेट का ऑपरेशन करवा कर बालों का एक गोला निकलवाया था। जो कुछ सालों से लगातार  बाल खाने की वजह से उसके पेट में जमा हो गया था। इसी वजह से वे उसे मेरे साथ खेलने नहीं दे रहे थे।

 

तब मुझे मनोविज्ञान या किसी सिंड्रोम की जानकारी नहीं थी। बस रॅपन्ज़ेल की कहानी मुझे मालूम थी। अभी कुछ समय पहले ही मुझे न्यूज़ में इस बारे में  फिर से पढ़ने का मौका मिला । जिससे पुरानी यादें ताजी हो गई। तब आप सबों से इस सिंड्रोम की जानकारी बांटने का ख्याल आया।

 

रॅपन्ज़ेल सिंड्रोम

वैसे तो रॅपन्ज़ेल लंबे, खूबसूरत बालों वाली एक काल्पनिक युवती का चरित्र  है। लेकिन इस कहानी के नाम पर रखा गया, रॅपन्ज़ेल सिंड्रोम एक अत्यंत दुर्लभ मनोरोग है। ऐसे लोग  बाल खाते हैं।   खाया हुआ बाल उनके पेट में  एक ट्राइकोबोज़र (बाल की गेंद) सा बन जाता है। यह समस्या  घातक भी हो सकती है। यह मानसिक बीमारी एक प्रकार का ऑब्सेसिव कंपल्सिव डिसऑर्डर है। वास्तव  में रॅपन्ज़ेल सिंड्रोम का कारण क्या है, यह अभी तक नहीं जाना जा सका है।


परी कथा रॅपन्ज़ेल 

 यह  एक जर्मन  परी-कथा है। जिसमें डेम गोथेल नामक  जादूगरनी  है। जिसने  सुनहरे, लंबे अौर  सुंदर  बालों वाली बच्ची रॅपन्ज़ेल को सबकी नज़रों से दूर जंगल के बीच एक ऐसी मीनार में कैद कर दिया। जिस पर चढ़ने के लिए न तो सीढ़ियां थी। ना ही अंदर घुसने के लिए कोई दरवाज़ा। उसमें था तो सिर्फ़ एक कमरा और एक खिड़की।  जब जादूगरनी रॅपन्ज़ेल से मिलने जाती । तब वह मीनार के नीचे खड़ी हो जाती थी और उसे यह कह कर बुलाती थी  – रॅपन्ज़ेल, रॅपन्ज़ेल, अपने बाल नीचे करो, (“रॅपन्ज़ेल, रॅपन्ज़ेल, लेट डाउन योर हेयर” ) ताकि मैं सुनहरी सीढ़ी पर चढ़ कर ऊपर आ सकूं।

एक दिन एक राजकुमार उस जंगल से गुजरा। राजकुमार ने  रॅपन्ज़ेल  को गाते हुए सुना। उसके मधुर गीत को सुनकर वह सम्मोहित हो गया। राजकुमार उस आवाज को खोजते हुए मीनार के पास पहुंचा। उसे ऊपर जाने का कोई रास्ता नजर नहीं आया। फिर उसने जादूगरनी को रॅपन्ज़ेल  बालों के सहारे ऊपर जाते देखा। जादूगरनी के जाने के बाद राजकुमार भी उस तरीके से ऊपर गया। ऊपर जाकर वह रॅपन्ज़ेल से मिला। दोनों में प्यार हो गया। कहानी के अंत में दोनों ने एक दूसरे से शादी कर ली।

Naegleria fowleri, colloquially known as the “brain-eating amoeba“, is a species of the genusNaegleria, belonging to the phylumPercolozoa, which is technically not classified as true amoeba, but a shapeshifting amoeboflagellate excavate. It is a free-living, bacteria-eating microorganism that can be pathogenic, causing an extremely rare fulminant (sudden and severe) and fatal brain infection called naegleriasis, also known as primary amoebic meningoencephalitis.

What is smiling depression?

According to a paper from the World Health Organization (WHO)Trusted Source, smiling depression presents with antithetical (conflicting) symptoms to those of classic depression. This may complicate the process of diagnosis.Usually, depression is associated with sadness, lethargy, and despair.

Smiling depression is a term for someone living with depression on the inside while appearing perfectly happy or content on the outside. Their public life is usually normal or perfect. The common symptoms of smiling depression are feelings of anxiety, fear, anger, fatigue, irritability, hopelessness,  despair etc.The smile and external façade is a defense mechanism, an attempt to hide their true feelings.

 Talk therapy, meditation and physical activity have  been shown to have tremendous mental health benefits.

सबों ने यह गाना सुना होगा – तुम इतना जो मुस्कुरा रहे हो?  पर शायद हीं जानते होगें कि  ऐसा डिप्रेशन में भी हो सकता। ऐसे में जाने या अनजाने लोग अपनी तकलीफ मुस्कुराहट के पीछे छुपातें हैं। क्योंकि मानसिक समस्याअों को आज भी स्टिगमा माना जाता है।

विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (डब्लूएचओ) ट्रस्टेड सोर्स के एक पेपर के अनुसार, ऐसे डिप्रेशन,  क्लासिक डिप्रेशन की तुलना में एंटीटेटिकल (परस्पर विरोधी) लक्षण दिखाते हैं । जिससे यह परेशानी  जटिल बन जाता है। अक्सर बहुत से लोग यह समझ भी नहीं पातें हैं कि वे उदास हैं या डिप्रेशन में हैं।

स्माइलिंग डिप्रेशन या अवसाद – ऐसे व्यक्ति  बाहर से पूरी तरह खुश या संतुष्ट दिखाई देतें हैं। उनका जीवन बाहर से सामान्य या सही दिखता है।  लेकिन उनमें भी डिप्रेशन जैसी समस्याएँ अौर लक्षण रहतें हैं, जैसे उदास रहना, भूख नहीं लगना, वजन संबंधी परेशानी, नींद में बदलाव, थकान आदि। विशेष बात यह है कि  ऐसे लोग सक्रिय,  खुशमिजाज, आशावादी, और आम तौर पर खुश दिखतें हैं। क्योंकि अवसाद के लक्षण दिखाना इन्हें कमजोरी दिखाने जैसा लगता है।

ऐसे लोगों को किसी भरोसेमंद व घनिष्ट दोस्त या परिवार के सदस्य से खुल कर बातें करना फायदेमंद हो सकता है। मानसिक स्वास्थ्य चिकित्सक, मनोचिकित्सक की सहायता , टॉक थेरेपी  आदि से भी समस्या सुलझाई जा सकती हैं।

 

 

प्लेटोनिक प्रेम

यह प्राचीन, दार्शनिक व्याख्या है। जो सिर्फ गैर-प्लेटोनिक प्रेम को जानते हैं, उन्हें त्रासदी पर बात करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। इस तरह के प्रेम में किसी प्रकार की त्रासदी का स्थान नहीं हो सकता। – लियो टॉल्स्टॉय।

प्लेटोनिक संबंध या प्रेम दो लोगों के बीच एक विशेष भावनात्मक और आध्यात्मिक संबंध है, जो सामान्य हितों, मिलते-जुलते विचारों,  आध्यात्मिक संबंध, और प्रशंसा  हैं। अधिकांश दोस्ती व्यक्तिगत रुप से या कार्यस्थान से शुरू होतें हैं।

इसका नाम ग्रीक दार्शनिक प्लेटो के नाम पर रखा गया है, हालांकि उन्हों ने कभी भी इस शब्द का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया।  प्लेटोनिक प्रेम निकटता से हुए आत्मियता, लगाव  अौर  आकर्षण  है। इसमें शारीरिक लगाव या आकर्षण से ज्यादा ज्ञान और सच्चे सौंदर्य के साथ जुड़ाव होता हैं।

Platonic love is a special emotional and spiritual relationship between two people who love and admire one another because of common interests, a spiritual connection, and similar worldviews. It does not involve any type of sexual involvement. Most friendships begin as either personal or professional.

It is named after Greek philosopher Plato, though the philosopher never used the term himself. Platonic love as devised by Plato concerns rising through levels of closeness to wisdom and true beauty from carnal attraction to individual bodies to attraction to souls, and eventually, union with the truth.

I think that each one helps to bring out a “different” part of me.

  • With one of them I am polite.
  • I joke with another friend.
  • I sit down and talk about serious matters with one.

  • I listen to one friend’s problems.
  • Then I listen to another one’s advice for me.

My friends are all like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
When completed they form a treasure Box !!!

We all pray for each other.

एबरडीन विश्वविद्यालय और स्कॉटिश स्वास्थ्य बोर्ड के शोधकर्ताओं, 1921 में और 1936 में पैदा हुए दो समूहों में 3.7-IQ का प्रसार पाया गया। स्टडी के अनुसार ऐसा इसलिए हो सकता है क्योंकि प्रत्येक पीढ़ी को  पिछले एक की तुलना में  अच्छा जीवन  स्तर -चिकित्सा देखभाल, शिक्षा , काम/ नौकरी के अवसर,  मिलता है।

इसे फ्लिन इफेक्ट कहा गया है – जो बदलावों के असर को मानता है, जैसे – पोषण, स्वास्थ्य अौर  अन्य कारक जो IQ या  उच्च संज्ञानात्मक कार्य  को प्रभावित करता है।

Researchers from the University of Aberdeen and Scottish health board, 

found  a spread of 3.7-IQ  in two groups born in 1921 and  in 1936.

Study says, that  this may be because each generation seems to have a higher

standard of living than the previous one (considering medical care, education

and job opportunities), leading to higher performance.

This has  been called the Flynn Effect – which also theorizes that improvements

in  nutrition, health and other factors lead to higher cognitive functioning.The New IQ

गुवाहाटी का एक नायाब स्कूल अद्भुत  काम कर रहा है। यहाँ अक्षर स्कूल प्लास्टिक के कचरे को स्कूल फीस के रूप में लेता है अौर बच्चों से  प्लास्टिक नहीं जलाने का संकल्प  करवाता है। स्कूल के छात्र न केवल किताबों से भरे बैग लेकर आते हैं, बल्कि वे स्कूल फीस के रूप में पॉलिथीन से भरे प्लास्टिक भी लाते हैं। इस प्लास्टिक से रचनात्मक कार्य करवाया जाता है।

साथ हीं  अक्षर स्कूल में पढ़ने वाले बड़े बच्चों को वहाँ के छोटे बच्चों को पढ़ाने के लिए  भी प्रशिक्षित किया जाता है। इसके लिए उन्हें धन भी दिया जाता है। जिससे उन्हें स्कूल न छोड़ने का  प्रोत्साहन  मिलता है। माजिन मुख्तार और परमिता सरमा ने 2016 में समाज के दलित वर्ग की मदद करने और प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित करने के उद्देश्य से स्कूल खोला था।
