Religion

I believe religion gives us an art of living  and initiates our journey towards spiritualism. Our first brush with our own religion is just like going to schooling and learning many basic things. 

Religion has a strong impact of the life of people, so its easy to teach them right-wrong or good-bad with the help of religion. I am obviously talking purely about religion on its own, not the  hypocritical, political, divisive ways in which it is often used.

Spirituality is deep wisdom (inner voice / inner wisdom)  and might be like getting higher education. Spirituality enables us to respect all religions and all living beings. It provides the wisdom to work for a greater cause and to understand that all religions are path directed to the same universal power.

हमारा “शरीर घड़ी” / सर्कैडियन लय हमारे  सोने, उठने, भूख लगने  और कई शारीरिक प्रक्रियाओं को बिना घङी देखे हमारे शरीर को बताता  रहता है। यह आंतरिक शरीर घड़ी पर्यावरण के संकेतों  जैसे धूप और तापमान जैसी बातों से प्रभावित हो सकता है। शोधों   से इसके  शरीर पर प्रतिकूल  प्रभावों की खोज हो रही है  जैसे हृदय संबंधी परेशानियाँ, मोटापे की संभावना, अवसाद और बाइपोलार ङिसअौङर   अादि।

फिजियोलॉजी या मेडिसिन में 2017 नोबेल पुरस्कार  अमेरिकी वैज्ञानिक जेफरी सी हॉल, माइकल रोजबाश और माइकल डब्ल्यू यंग  को “सर्कैडियन लय को नियंत्रित करने वाले आणविक तंत्र की उनकी खोज” के लिए दिया गया हैं। जो फ्लाइट जेट लैग की व्याख्या करती है।

Our “body clock” /  circadian rhythm is a cycle that tells our bodies when to sleep, rise, eat–regulating many physiological processes without watching  the watch. This internal body clock may be  affected by environmental cues, like  sunlight and temperature. When one’s circadian rhythm is disrupted, sleeping and eating patterns can be disturbed. No of researches are  examining the adverse health effects such as –  chances of cardiovascular problems, obesity, and a correlation with neurological problems like depression and bipolar disorder etc.

American scientists Jeffrey C Hall, Michael Rosbash and Michael W Young have won the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for “their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm”.

 

 

 

Mental Illness Impacts Self-Esteem

“The good life is a process, not a state of being.”How many of you suffer or know someone who suffers from mental illnesses?  If you raised your hand, then we have something in common.For those of you who struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or another mental illness, stop and ask yourself a simple question.  Am I happy with my life?If the answer to that question is no, then let’s do something to change that.  There’s a world of opportunities to explore, and some can be life changing.  This is your chance at a fresh start, one that would make you infinitely more confident.  Change your daily routine, get involved, do a good deed; the possibilities are endless.For those who know someone struggling with mental illness, stop and ask yourself a different question.  How can I help?It’s okay to be unsure.  It’s frustrating to be left in the dark, to not be able to understand what’s going on.  You don’t need to use words to be helpful.  A simple hug or gesture can go a long way.  Just be an encouraging social support.Mental illness is difficult to live with and can often result in external and internal struggles.  Depression and anxiety are the most common and lead to low self-esteem (internal).    Low self-esteem impacts how you interact with others (external).The most important thing is never put yourself down.  You’re too good for that.  Everyone is unique in their own way, so find who you are.  Rise to the challenge and open up your positive thinking.  Find a way to step out of your comfort zone and into your stretch zone.  This will be how you build your self-esteem.For more information on how you can find your stretch zone, click the link below.  And don’t forget, build that self-esteem; don’t let it crumble.  You can do it!
