सीप अौर मोती
दुनिया के समंदर में
ग़म औ अश्क़ का हिसाब रख कर
परेशान होने से अच्छा है,
दर्द-ए-ग़म पर लेप चढ़ा दें अपने मुस्कराहटे-ए- मरहम का।
ग़म ख़ुशी में तो नहीं बदलेगी।
पर शायद हम भी ख़ूबसूरत, आबदार मोती बना दें
अपनी चुभन अौर दर्द को,
सीप की तरह…….
जब सीप / मॉलस्क वायु, जल व भोजन की आवश्यकता के लिए कभी-कभी अपने शेल के द्वार खोलते हैं। तब कुछ विजातीय पदार्थ जैसे रेत कण, कीड़े-मकोड़े आदि उस खुले मुंह में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं। उसके अंदर रहने वाला जीव या मॉलस्क उसके चुभन से बचने के लिये उस पर कठोर पदार्थ /क्रिटलीय रूप में कैल्सियम कार्बोनेट डिपॉजिट करने लगता हैं. सीप अपनी त्वचा से निकलने वाले चिकने तरल पदार्थ द्वारा उस विजातीय पदार्थ पर परतें चढ़ाने लगता है। जो मोती या ‘मुक्ता’ बन जाती है।
