नास्ति मातृसमा छाया नास्ति मातृसमा गतिः। 
नास्ति मातृसमं त्राणं नास्ति मातृसमा प्रपा॥

Transliteration:
nāsti mātṛsamā chāyā nāsti mātṛsamā gatiḥ।
nāsti mātṛsamaṃ trāṇaṃ nāsti mātṛsamā prapā॥

Hindi Translation:
माता के समान कोई छाया नहीं, कोई आश्रय नहीं, कोई सुरक्षा नहीं।

माता के समान इस दुनिया में कोई जीवनदाता नहीं॥

English Translation:
There is no shade like a mother, no resort, no security.

no other ever-giving fountain of life like a mother !

मातृ दिवस  समस्त माताअों तथा मातृत्व के लिए अौर पारिवारिक एवं उनके आपसी संबंधों को सम्मान देने के लिए शुरु किया गया था। यह मई के दूसरे रविवार को मनाया जाता है।

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on the second Sunday of months of May.

चिड़ियों की चहक सहर…सवेरा… ले कर आती है.

 नीड़ को लौटते परिंदे शाम को ख़ुशनुमा बनाते हैं.

ढलते सूरज से रंग उधार लिए सिंदूरी शाम चुपके से ढल जाती.

फिर निकल आता है शाम का सितारा.

पर यादों की वह भीगी शाम उधार हीं रह जाती है,

भीगीं आँखों के साथ.
