क्यों आज़ लोग खुश और संतुष्ट नहीं?

क्यों लोग स्वयं को नहीं, दूसरों को देख रहें हैं?

आध्यात्मिक-मानसिक प्रगति से दूर,

भाग रहें हैं भौतिक प्रगति की ओर।

पर है स्वयं के गोली-बारी, हिंसा से लहू-लुहान।

गीता ने सदियों पहले बताया,

जो तुम्हारे पास है उसमें संतुष्ट, ख़ुश रहना सीखो,

क्योंकि ख्वाहिशें तो अनंत हैं।

सन्तुष्टः सततं योगी यतात्मा दृढनिश्चयः।

मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिर्यो मद्भक्तः स मे प्रियः।।12.14।।

अर्थ- संयतात्मा दृढ़निश्चयी योगी सदा सन्तुष्ट है।

जो अपने मन और बुद्धि को मुझमें अर्पण किये हुए है?

वह मुझे प्रिय है। (भगवद् गीता अध्याय 12 श्लोक 14)

हाथ में लिए तराज़ू,

ना तौल इंसाँ को।

ना भूल,

आकार, रूप, रंग हैसियत नहीं,

हुनर, स्वभाव और गुण काम आते हैं।

तय कर दीजिए अपनी ज़िंदगी में।

जो उसे तोड़ने की कोशिश करें।

उन्हें सम्मान नहीं आपका,

आपकी सीमाओं और भावनाओं का।

उन्हें समझना है ज़रूरी।

We’re looking for detail oriented, literature loving hustlers for part-time, remote internships at the Usawa Literary Review, a feminist literary magazine headquartered in Mumbai, India at http://www.usawa.in

Responsibilities:

I. Information gathering, proof reading, calendar planning, and email communication to assist the Editor-in-Chief

II. Coordinating between the Associate Editor and the Webmaster/ Social media manager.

Number of positions: 2

मृत यादें मर कर भी दर्द देतीं है।

ग़र अतीत के घाव नहीं भरे

तो वे रिसते रहेंगे।

यादों के दाग,

ज़ख्मों के जलन

अपने होने का एहसास देते रहेंगे।

अतीत से समझौता कर

आगे निकल जाना ज़रूरी है।

दिल में दबा दर्द मुस्कुराहटों की ओट में पनाह लेता है।

मुस्कुराहटें आँखों के आँसुओं के नमी

के पीछे लुका-छिपी करती है।

क्यों एहसासों को छुपाने का चलन ज़माना सिखाता है?

दिल पर बोझ बढ़ाना सिखाता है?

वही आँखें, वही मुस्कान जो राज़दार बनती हैं,

वही दर्द-ए-दिल राज़ खोल देतीं हैं।

नासूर नहीं इलाज-ए-दर्द चाहिए।

तलाश थी अपनी, ढूँढते रहे

दहर…दुनिया के ज़र्रे-ज़र्रे में।

दिल के अंदर से आई आवाज़,

कस्तूरी मृग ना बन,

जो अपनी ही ख़ुशबू खोजता रहता है बाहर।

झाँक अपने अंदर।

हृदय के अंदर, रिक्त आकाश में है

असल तू, तेरा दहर ( शिव या ब्रह्म अंश)।

गुफ़्तगू कर उससे।

आईने सा नज़र आएगा अक्स तेरा।

चिदानंद रूपः शिवोहम शिवोहम!
