Naegleria fowleri, colloquially known as the “brain-eating amoeba“, is a species of the genusNaegleria, belonging to the phylumPercolozoa, which is technically not classified as true amoeba, but a shapeshifting amoeboflagellate excavate. It is a free-living, bacteria-eating microorganism that can be pathogenic, causing an extremely rare fulminant (sudden and severe) and fatal brain infection called naegleriasis, also known as primary amoebic meningoencephalitis.

I had read about it a long time ago. I think they probably don’t have a specific cure for this.
How do people get it?

Parneet, I read it in the news. I guess its very dangerous.
they are found in open water such as lakes, rivers, ponds and canals, generally in warmer summer . one may get infected by nasal contact with water from taps and other sources.
