Because a single wave is not away from the Ocean it is in the Ocean so Rumi’s words are perfect when he rightly says Who Am I and Where Am I. I am in the Ocean and I am the Ocean if you interrupt his words.
Thanks but a single wave is also in the sea so then where did the wave go, Rekha. Rumi is saying that the wave is not apart from the sea it is in the sea so we need to learn from his sayings that we are not separate from God but a part of Him.

we are just a small part/ particle of God, similar to wave to sea. So , to know the answer – Who I am , we’ll have to know the God. 🙂
