Maharamayan or Yoga Vasistha – The Science of Self Realization and the Art of Self Realisation.
The Yoga Vasistha is a detailed conversation between Sri Rama and his Spiritual teacher Vasistha Maharshi.
योग वशिष्ठ को ‘महारामायण’ कहा जाता है क्योंकि इसमें वाल्मीकि रामायण से लगभग चार हजार अधिक श्लोक हैं। इसमें करीब 32,000 श्लोक हैं और विषय को समझाने के लिए बहुत सी लघु कहानियां और किस्से इसमें शामिल किए गए हैं। योग वशिष्ठ एक हिंदू आध्यात्मिक ग्रंथ है। जिसे रामायण के लेखक महर्षि वाल्मीकि ने लिखा है। यह आत्म बोध का विज्ञान और आत्म बोध की कला दोनों है। योग वशिष्ठ, श्री राम और उनके आध्यात्मिक गुरु वशिष्ठ महर्षि के बीच एक विस्तृत बातचीत है। अतः मान्यता है कि मानव मन में उठने वाले सभी सवालों के जवाब यह ग्रंथ दे सकता है और मोक्ष पाने में इंसान की मदद कर सकता है।
Vasistha to Rama –
When the mind is at peace and the heart leaps to the supreme truth, when all the disturbing thought- waves in the mind-stuff have subsided and there is unbroken flow of peace and the heart is filled with the bliss of the absolute, when thus the truth has been seen in the heart, then this very world becomes an abode of bliss.

वशिष्ठ राम से – जब मन शांत होता है और हृदय सर्वोच्च सत्य की अग्रसर होता है, जब सभी परेशानियाँ व विचार- मन में तरंगें थम जाती हैं और शांति का अखंड प्रवाह होता है और हृदय इस तरह पूर्ण आनंद से भर जाता है, जब सत्य को हृदय में देखा गया है, तब यह संसार आनंदमय बन जाता है।

What did Rumi mean when he said:
and be completely clear-hearted,
like the face of a mirror
that contains no images.
If you want a clear mirror,
behold yourself
and see the shameless truth,
which the mirror reflects.
If metal can be polished
to a mirror-like finish,
what polishing might the mirror
of the heart require?
Between the mirror and the heart
is this single difference:
the heart conceals secrets,
while the mirror does not.
