  1. I’ve been looking into psychology lately and yes indeed: the mind and the spirit are one. All our facets are in agreement, granting us human form. Well put my friend.

  2. How would you handle positivity bias and delusion? Positivity is only as good as its relative usage. If you look in many esoteric circles you see a lot of “happy” and “positive” people making their families suffer with the best intentions.
Where do you draw the line between reason and positivity?

    1. Interesting question !! yes, i agree- Positivity is only as good as its relative usage.

In my opinion bias and delusion are mostly associated with negative thought. If any ones happiness is affected by these things , it may be a negative approach towards the things.

      1. Thanks for your reply. Let me specify a bit more: From experience, I’ve seen many instances where people claim to be positive. Actually, all their body language shows that they are, yet, they unintentionally restrict or violate other peoples freedom of expression or freedom of questioning or argumentation by subduing it through their belief. Religion is a good example, where very intelligent people can do extraordinary cruel things because they believe that it’s the right/positive thing.
        What’s your stance on that?
Would you advocate questioning one’s own positivity for the sake of realism or any other form of deeper self-reflection where one’s belief has to be questioned in order to distinguish genuine positivity from implanted positivity?

      2. Welcome, those who will understand the real meaning of religion or spirituality, they ‘ll never act the that way. this happens due to false belief .
I believe all religion teaches the same thing in a different style . According to Hindu scriptures – “the different paths which men take … crooked or straight, all lead to Thee!”

  3. Happened upon your blog and really enjoyed this post. The word “spirituality” caught my eye. In fact, in my autobiographical memoir called “Shattered to Shining”, I talk about being “in church more than God was” and how I revolted and found spirituality (I was 13 at the time). I feel that making that shift physically and in my mind-set is what helped me become a much more compassionate trauma therapist. I am curious as to your opinion though…. ironically I was just killing some time on Pinterest when I saw a post about “spirituality vs. religion” and it said that those who pray externally (ie: Dear God, fix this!) were “religious” and those who tapped into their inner voice / inner wisdom were “spiritual”. Sure fit my life – what is your personal opinion on this?
Anyway, I look forward to reading more.

    1. Hi, thanks for stopping by and going through my post. I mostly write in the Hindi – Indian language. India is a secular country and does not have a national religion.

I believe religion gives us an art of living and initiates our journey towards spiritualism. Our first brush with our own religion is just like going to schooling and learning many basic things.

Religion has a strong impact of the life of people, so its easy to teach them right-wrong or good-bad with the help of religion. I am obviously talking purely about religion on its own, not the hypocritical, political, divisive ways in which it is often used

Spirituality is deep wisdom (inner voice / inner wisdom- as you said) and might be like getting higher education. Spirituality enables us to respect all religions and all living beings. It provides the wisdom to work for a greater cause and to understand that all religions are path directed to the same universal power. 🙂

  5. I had a module in my first year of university called ‘learning to be happy’, where we learn’t about positive psychology. Such a fascinating area of research!
