when we offer water

with our thumb for ancestors,

it is believed to bring

them peace and satisfaction.

In the south-west direction or under the

peepal tree, an oil lamp is lit —

symbolizing light on their path.

Whether these offerings truly reach them

or not, no one can say for sure.

But this amazing and beautiful tradition —

whether seen as spirituality, science,

or psychology — surely brings

deep peace to the heart and soul.
