ये धुंध कुहासा छंटने दो

फागुन का रंग बिखरने दो,
प्रकृति दुल्हन का रूप धर
जब स्नेह – सुधा बरसायेगी
शस्य – श्यामला धरती माता
घर -घर खुशहाली लायेगी,
तब चैत्र-शुक्ल की प्रथम तिथि
नव वर्ष मनाया जायेगा
आर्यावर्त की पुण्य भूमि पर

“Sarva Mangala Mangalye Sive Sarvartha Sadhike
Saranye Trayambike Gauri Narayani Namostute”
In Sanskrit:
सर्वमङ्गलमाङ्गल्ये शिवे सर्वार्थसाधिके ।
शरण्ये त्र्यम्बके गौरि नारायणि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥
Meaning : ‘She is the most auspicious one and the one who bestows auspiciousness upon all of the world. She is pure and holy. She protects those who surrender to her and is also called the Mother of the three worlds and is Gauri, daughter of mountain king. We bow down to Mother Durga again and again. We worship her.’
Benefit : This mantra is recited almost during all celebrations, rituals and events. Regular chanting can give wisdom and strength combined with a prosperous life.

चैत्र नवरात्र से वैदिक नववर्ष की शुरूआत होती है। 18 मार्च से चैत्र नवरात्रि शुरू हो रही है. इसी के साथ 18 मार्च को ही हिंदू नव वर्ष की भी शुरुआत हो रही है। इस तिथि को काफी पवित्र माना जाता है। कहते हैं युगों में प्रथम सत्ययुग की शुरुआत इसी तिथि से ही हुई थी.
क्यों मनाया जाता है हिंदू नववर्ष – चैत्र का महीना भारतीय कैलंडर के हिसाब से साल का पहला महीना होता है। पौराणिक मान्यता है कि चैत्र नवरात्रि के पहले दिन ही आदिशक्ति प्रकट हुईं थी. आदिशक्ति के कहने पर ही ब्रह्मा ने सृष्टि की रचना करनी शुरू की थी। यही कारण है कि चैत्र शुक्ल के पहले दिन को हिंदू नववर्ष के तौर पर मनाया जाता है। इस दिन हुई पंचाग की भी रचना हुई थी।
