  2. इन अमर पंक्तियों की तुलना पाकिस्तान की दिवंगत शायरा मरहूमा परवीन शाकिर के इस शेर से की जा सकती है – ‘मर भी जाऊं तो कहाँ लोग भुला ही देंगे, लफ़्ज़ मेरे मेरे होने की गवाही देंगे’ ।
