न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः ।।२३।।
इस आत्माको शस्त्र काट नहीं सकते, आग जला नहीं सकती, जल गला नहीं सकता और वायु सूखा नहीं सकता ।

na chainam kledayanty app na sosayati marutah ।। 23।।
(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter -Two, verse -23)
“The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.”
According to Bhagwat Gita, the Soul, or Atman has the properties that Weapons cannot pierce it, fire cannot burn it, water cannot moisten it and wind cannot dry it (Chapter 2.23).

Hi Rekha, what are your thoughts on when the human form suffers a sudden death? What happens to the Atman? I know that no one will really know the 100% truth, but still very interested in this topic.

Hi Vanita, this is a tough Philosophical question 🙂 and there are number of answers.
About soul, Hinduism says –
1. jiva-atma – the individual soul, known as the living entity.
2. Param-atma – the Supersoul / God, known as the Supreme Lord
Moksha is final liberation for an individual soul (jiva) from the cycle of birth and death.
Different religions/ thoughts call it by different names- atama, soul, ruh ….
