बहुत कुछ खोया है ज़िंदगी तेरे रह गुज़र में

अब तो सिर्फ़ हम हीं रह गए हैं

अपने आप को तेरे बजम में खोने के लिए.

I looked for God.

I went to a temple and I didn’t find him there.

Then I went to a church and I didn’t find him there.

The I went to a mosque and I didn’t find him there.

Then finally I looked in my heart and there he was.

Carry the burden smilingly

and cheerfully,

because patience is

the key to victory.

रेत के कण के चुभन से बचने के लिए

सीप के अंदर का कीट अपने ऊपर

एक कठोर चमकीली परत चढ़ा मोती बना लेता है.

वैसे हीं अपने को तकलीफ़ों से

बचाने के लिए

सहनशीलता की तह चढ़ा

मोती सा बन गए हम .

You suppose you are the trouble
But you are the cure
You suppose that you are the lock on the door
But you are the key that opens it
It’s too bad that you want to be someone else
You don’t see your own face, your own beauty
Yet, no face is more beautiful than yours.

क्या कोई बता सकता है?

सागर का पानी हर जगह क्या एक सा खारा है ?

क्या समय और मौसम बदलने पर भी

खारापन एक सा रहता है ?

कुछ समझ नहीं आया तो पूछा सागर से हीं।

बिना जवाब दिये बस नाचता रहा

लहरों के साथ इतरा कर।
