क्यों यह विध्वंस हुआ देव तुम्हारी भूमि पर ?

हाँ , हम रचनाकर्ता, पालन कर्ता और संहारकर्ता हैं,

पर हम तुम्हें यह आशीर्वाद भी देते हैं-

सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे संतु निरामया !!

यह तांडव … विध्वंस…..तुम्हारी भूलों,

अतिक्रमन और प्रकृति को

बंधन में बाँधने की कोशिश

का यह परिणाम है .

इसलिए उठो प्रायश्चित करो ,

आरोप-प्रत्यारोप छोड़ो .

अपनी भूल सुधारो

जो भी सामर्थ्य हो तुम्हारी ,

धन , मन , तन से आगे बढ़ो

ना हो सके कुछ तो

प्रार्थनाओं और कामनाओं से

सहारा बनो .

मानव हो मानवता दिखलाओ .

बिना भेद भाव , राग द्वेष के …..,

  3. हम नतमस्तक अपराधी बन खड़े तुम्हारे आगे सम्मुख
    भूल हमारी समझ आ गई ,स्वयं के कारण ही पाये दुःख
    प्राकृतिक संतुलन बनाये रखने के लिए करेंगे सब कुछ
    सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः का आशीष पाकर हम हुवे खुश

    1. भूल तो हम सब की हैं. पानी की कमी से डर कर इतने बाँध बना लिए और भूल गए कि जो जल जीवन है वह प्रलय भी ला सकता हैं.
      मुझे नहीं लगता इस ओर हमारी सरकारें कोई ठोस क़दम उठती हैं.

  4. I agree totally with these words of yours Rekha and like Kerala there are many other states in India where nature will take a toll on us. We have to leave all our egos aside and be united and be thankful to God who is One in all of us and say his thanks and be kind and compassionate to each and everyone whether it is animals, nature and humans. Our selfishness has to go big time, even our Mumbai being just an island is being day in and day out massacred and who knows what will happen in future. Thanks for a true poem and let us all do something for Kerala.

      You are absolutely right. Ever year we are facing such issues in different parts of the country – Bihar , Bengal, Badarinath , Kashmiri, Assam….list is long.
      We are trying to control the nature.
      Today, i read in a news paper-
      There are around 1821 notable large dams in state of Maharashtra in India. Just imagine what may happen if water storage goes beyond control in dams ?

      1. Yes I so agree Rekha and look how our beautiful trees are getting chopped off like as if they have no life in them. Each and every living being has heart in it just because they don’t talk like us these miserable people keep cutting them and they give us rains. Madness going on, Rekha.

  5. Very well written Rekha. We are doing so many things to environment. But when a tragedy hits, let’s not point fingers trying to blame, but get on with compassionate work with mind, body and money.
    Let’s concentrate on rebuilding

      1. काव्य मात्र शब्द विन्यास ही नहीं वरन मूल रुप में भाव संप्रेषण है| और जब काव्य पढ़ने वाले के मानस को आनंदित व उद्वेलित कर देती है कि वह कुछ सकारात्मक करे…. तब उस काव्य की सार्थकता व्यापकतम हो जाती है!
        बहुत सुंदर लिखा है आपने विध्वंस के बीच से सेवा सहयोग को भाव का सृजन… किया है आपने कविता के द्वारा!
