The river’s ecosystem has left 65 percent of the world’s rivers in danger of losing biodiversity due to various factors.   The Sarasvati River is one of the main Rigvedic rivers mentioned in the scripture Rig Veda and ancient Sanskrit texts. Around ,  70 per cent of the sites that have been discovered to contain archaeological material dating to this civilization’s period are located on the banks of the now dried out Saraswati river.

 

पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार सरस्वती नदी शुष्क हो तिरोहित हो गई। इसका गहरा प्रभाव मानव जाति पर पड़ा। वर्तमान सूखी हुई सरस्वती नदी के समानांतर खुदाई में ५५००-४००० वर्ष पुराने शहर मिले हैं जिन में पीलीबंगा, कालीबंगा और लोथल भी हैं। यहाँ कई यज्ञ कुण्डों के अवशेष भी मिले हैं, जो महाभारत में वर्णित तथ्य को प्रमाणित करते हैं।ऋग्वेद के नदी सूक्त के अनुसार यह पौराणिक नदी पंजाब के पर्वतीय भाग से निकलकर कुरुक्षेत्र और राजपूताना से होते हुए प्रयाग या इलाहाबाद आकर यह गंगा तथा यमुना में मिलकर पुण्यतीर्थ त्रिवेणी कहलाती है।

 

 हम,

प्रकृति से   लेना जानते हैं पर संभालना नहीं जानते।

ना अपना भविष्य ना  अपने संतति का भविष्य,

ना इतिहास से सबक लेना चाहते है।

पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार सरस्वती नदी

शुष्क हो तिरोहित हो गई।

इस नदी के साथ ना जाने कितने

 ज्ञान , विज्ञान , सभ्यतायें लुप्त हो गईं ।

                                                          कितने नासमझ हैं हम?

  16. A beautiful poem. Especially in Hindi. Not many try to write a blog in Hindi. You are doing a pretty good job.
    Great article by the way on deterioration of rivers. May be we should try to learn something from it.
