In Turkmenistan (1971)  a natural gas field  of Methane  was found. To prevent the spread of methane gas, geologists set it on fire and it has been burning continuously since then. It is known as the Gate to Hell/ Door to Hell / the Crater of Fire/  Darvaza Crater

तुर्कमेनिस्तान में 1971 में शक्तिशाली ग्रीन हाउस  व महत्वपुर्ण उर्जा स्त्रोत  गैस ” मीथेन ” का  एक बहुत बङा भंङार मिला। संभाल ना पाने पाने पर इसमें आग लगा दिया गया। आज इसे विभिन्न ङरावने नामों से पुकारा जाता है – नरक द्वार / ज्वालामुखी का जलता मुख / नरक के दरवाजे  /पाताल का द्वार .

प्रकृति ,धरती अौर सागर,

ने दिया इतना कुछ।

धरा का सीना चीर करते रहे दोहन।

अौर जब संभ्भाल नहीं पाये हम.

तब बचने के लिये लगा दिया आग।

अौर ४० वर्ष से इस जलते धधकते आग के

गोलाकार , ज्वालामुखी के मुख को

हमने दे दिया नाम “नरक का द्वार”

आश्चर्य  है,  समय-समय यहाँ आने वाली हजारों  मकड़ियां,

क्या वे भी हमारी तरह  यहां घूमने चली आती हैं?

पर्यटक हैं?

या बनाती हैं हमारी नासमझी का उपहास अौर मातम?

  2. कुछ ऐसा ही तो खाडी युद्ध के दौरान किया गया था, हालांकि भिन्न कारणों से । तेल कुओं का कितना ही तेल निकाल कर खाडी में फेंक दिया गया था ।

    1. हम प्रकृति से फ़ायद तो निकाल लेते है पर उस से हुई कमी की पूर्ति के बारे में नहीँ सोचते. ऐसी दुर्घटनाओं के बाद उन्हे सुधारने के बारे में क्यों नहीँ सोंचा जाता है ? यह प्रश्न मुझे परेशान करता है. सागर में तेल की दुर्घटना भी तकलीफ़देह थी.

    1. धन्यवाद विष्णु , हमें प्रकृति मुक्त हाथों से उपहार देती है. हम उससे फायदा तो उठाते है. पर उसकी उचित देख भाल नहीँ करते.
