माँ , चाची कहती हैं ,
तुम बेटी -बेटी मॆं भेद भाव करती हो.
तुम्हें लड़के प्यारे हैं.
माँ ने कहा – मैं ऐसा कैसे कर सकती हूँ ?
मेरी तो तुम दो ही प्यारी बेटियाँ हो.
बेटा को मैंने जन्म ही नहीँ दिया.
तब भेद और तुलना करूँगी किस से ?
चाची की तरह कन्या भ्रूण हत्या कर
बेटा पा सकती थी.
पर नहीँ किया ऐसा ,
क्योंकि मुझे तुम
दो ,बेटियाँ ही प्यारी हो.
