वेदांत के विख्यात और प्रभावशाली आध्यात्मिक गुरु स्वामी विवेकानन्द का जन्म: 12 जनवरी,१८६३ – मृत्यु: ४ जुलाई १९०२ में हुआ था. उन्होंने शिकागो में सन् १८९३ में आयोजित विश्व धर्म महासभा में भारत की ओर से सनातन धर्म का प्रतिनिधित्व किया था। भारत का आध्यात्मिकता से परिपूर्ण वेदान्त दर्शन अमेरिकाऔर यूरोप के हर एक देश में स्वामी विवेकानन्द की वक्तृता के कारण ही पहुँचा. उनकी बोली पंक्तियाँ आज भी शिकागो आर्ट इन्स्टिट्यूट की सीढ़ियों पर जगमगा रहीं हैं. उन्हें श्रद्धा सुमन !!!
Swami Vivekananda / Narendranath Datta or Naren was borne in Calcutta, the capital of British India, on 12 January 1863 during the Makar Sankrantifestival. He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world.
On 11th September 1893 Swami Vivekanand gave famous speech at Chicago. Still on the stairs of Chicago Art Institute Swamiji’s 473 words are illuminating. Still registering relevancy.
