You can study God through everything and everyone in the universe, because God is not confined in a mosque, synagogue or church. But if you are still in need of knowing where exactly His abode is, there is only one place to look for him: in the heart of a true lover.
If a child lives with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive,
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves,
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
But do not despair …

बातों के रंग
निराले होते हैं.
ना जाने कब , कैसे
किसी की बातें
दिल में उतर कर मन मोह लेतीं हैं.
किसी की , तीर बन दिल को चीर जातीं हैं,
नश्तर बन मन को छलनी कर देतीं हैं.
How we see God is a direct reflection of how we see ourselves.
If God brings to mind
mostly fear and blame,
it means there is too much
fear and blame welled inside us.

राष्ट्र कवि, पद्म विभूषण रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ (२३ सितंबर १९०८-२४ अप्रैल१९७४) का जन्म सिमरिया, मुंगेर, बिहार में हुआ था । उन्होंने इतिहास, दर्शनशास्त्र और राजनीति विज्ञान की पढ़ाई पटना विश्वविद्यालय से की । उन्होंने संस्कृत, बांग्ला, अंग्रेजी और उर्दू का गहन अध्ययन किया था । उनकी अधिकतर रचनाएँ वीर रस से ओतप्रोत है ।
कुरूक्षेत्र – प्रथम सर्ग की चंद पंक्तियाँ
वह कौन रोता है वहाँ-
इतिहास के अध्याय पर,
जिसमें लिखा है, नौजवानों के लहु का मोल है
प्रत्यय किसी बूढे, कुटिल नीतिज्ञ के व्याहार का;
जिसका हृदय उतना मलिन जितना कि शीर्ष वलक्ष है;
जो आप तो लड़ता नहीं,
कटवा किशोरों को मगर,
आश्वस्त होकर सोचता,
शोणित बहा, लेकिन, गयी बच लाज सारे देश की ?
और तब सम्मान से जाते गिने
नाम उनके, देश-मुख की लालिमा
है बची जिनके लुटे सिन्दूर से;
देश की इज्जत बचाने के लिए
या चढा जिनने दिये निज लाल हैं ।
ईश जानें, देश का लज्जा विषय
तत्त्व है कोई कि केवल आवरण
उस हलाहल-सी कुटिल द्रोहाग्नि का
जो कि जलती आ रही चिरकाल से
स्वार्थ-लोलुप सभ्यता के अग्रणी
नायकों के पेट में जठराग्नि-सी ।
