बिना एहसान जताये,

क़िस्सों का जन्म होता है

अनुभव और कल्पना के मिलन से .

कहानी अपनी हो या दुनिया की……

सच्चाई में भी कुछ कल्पना होती है

और अक्सर कल्पना में कुछ ना कुछ

ज़िंदगी की बातें समा हीं जाती हैं.

कभी आदिकवि वाल्मीकि, वास्तविक

द्रवित करने वाली घटना

को देख अमर रचनाकार बन जातें हैं

कभी तुलसीदास चित्रकूट तट पर राम दर्शन कर 

कल्पना के सहारे रामायण रच जातें हैं.

कभी पारितोष, हार -जीत, प्रेरणा बन जाती है। 

और कभी राईटॉर्ज़ ब्लाक हमारे उन

सारे पात्र और कल्पना को चुरा

ले जाता है , जिन से बातें कर हम

क़िस्सागोई …..कविता ……करते हैं.

                           जब राम ने अपनी पत्नी सीता का परित्याग कर दिया तब महर्षि वाल्मीक ने ही सीता को आश्रय दिया। उसके बाद , वाल्मीकि ने  संस्कृत में वाल्मीकि रामायण  की रचना की।  उनका लेखन  तब शुरु हुआ जब, एक बार वाल्मीकि  क्रौंच पक्षी के प्रेमालाप मग्न  जोड़े को निहार रहे थे।  तभी उन्होंने देखा कि एक बहेलिये ने प्रेम–मग्न क्रौंच /सारस पक्षी के जोड़े में से नर पक्षी का वध कर दिया और मादा पक्षी विलाप करने लगी। उसके इस विलाप को सुन कर वाल्मीकि की करुणा जाग उठी और द्रवित अवस्था में उनके मुख से स्वतः ही यह श्लोक निकल पड़ा – हे दुष्ट, तुमने प्रेम मे मग्न क्रौंच पक्षी को मारा है। जा तुझे कभी भी प्रतिष्ठा की प्राप्ति नहीं हो पायेगी। और तुझे भी वियोग झेलना पड़ेगा।

मा निषाद प्रतिष्ठां त्वमगमः शाश्वतीः समाः।
यत्क्रौंचमिथुनादेकम् अवधीः काममोहितम्॥‘
mā niṣāda pratiṣṭhā tvamagamaḥ śāśvatīḥ samāḥ
yat krauñcamithunādekam avadhīḥ kāmamohitam[13]

You will find no rest for the long years of Eternity
For you killed a bird in love and unsuspecting

Valmiki is celebrated as the harbinger-poet in Sanskrit literature. The epic Ramayana, dated variously from 5th century BCE to first century BCE, is attributed to him, based on the attribution in the text itself. He is revered as Ādi Kavi, the first poet, author of Ramayana, the first epic poem. When he was looking for a suitable place to step into the stream, he saw a crane couple mating. Valmiki felt very pleased on seeing the happy birds. Suddenly, hit by an arrow, the male bird died on the spot. Filled by sorrow, its mate screamed in agony and died of shock. Valmiki’s heart melted at this pitiful sight.He looked around to find out who had shot the bird. He saw a hunter with a bow and arrows, nearby. Valmiki became very angry. His lips opened and he cried out the above shloka. Emerging spontaneously from Valmiki’s rage and grief, this is considered to be the first shloka in Sanskrit literature.

 कथाएँ बताती हैं कि  गोस्वामी तुलसीदास ने चित्रकूट के घाट पर राम दर्शन अौर ईश्वरिय प्रेरणा पा कर  हिन्दी में काव्य–रचना की।  उन्हों  ने रामचरितमानस की रचना संवत्‌ १६३१ में दैवी कल्पना  के सहारे की।
