World Smile Day® is celebrated on the first Friday in the month of October every year. The idea of was coined and initiated by Harvey Ball, a commercial artist from Worcester, Massachusetts. He is known to have created the Smiley Face in 1963.[1] The World’s first World Smile Day was held in the year 1999.

आज मुस्कुराने का दिन है.

पर सच तो यह है कि

रोज़ मुस्कुराइए.

ज़िंदगी ख़ूबसूरत लगेगी .

ज़िंदगी रोज़ नए रंग दिखाती है

अनवरत नए सबक़ सिखाती है.

इस पाठशाला में

ना है उम्र की कोई सीमा,

ना कोई सिलेबस .

पर यह ज़िंदगी गुरु है पक्की .

जो भी सिखाया

एक बार में सीख लिया तो ठीक

वरना सबक़ दुहराती रहती है.

कड़वे – मीठे अनुभवों, चोट औ

दर्द की दी दुहाई जब भी,

ऊपर वाले का जवाब आया –

“बस तराश रहा हूँ तुम्हें.”

There are more fake gurus and false teachers in this world than the number of stars in the visible universe. Don’t confuse power-driven, self-centered people with true mentors. A genuine spiritual master will not direct your attention to himself or herself and will not expect absolute obedience or utter admiration from you, but instead will help you to appreciate and admire your inner self. True mentors are as transparent as glass. They let the light of God pass through them.
