सन्तोषः परमो लाभः सत्सङ्गः परमा गतिः ।

विचारः परमं ज्ञानं शमो हि परमं सुखम् ॥

santoSaH paramo lAbhaH satsaGgaH paramA gatiH |
vicAraH paramaM jJAnaM zamo hi paramaM sukham ||

 

English Translation of Sanskrit Quote:

Contentment is the highest gain,
Good Company the highest course,
Enquiry the highest wisdom,
and

Peace the highest enjoyment.

  3. Rekha this is a very good choice you have brought out from “Yoga Vashitha”
    It is one Grantha or Grantham that could bring the knowledge of Enlightenment.
    Like Gita it is the bodha (discourse) given to Lord Shri Rama by Vashista Muni.
    Thanks for this share.
    His (Vashitha) lines are always so, in a few words he brings out the gist of Life and Enlightenment.
