ज़िंदगी के हक़दार हैं हम सब

अक्सर लड़कियाँ को सबक़ – ढके रहना सीखो।

सहना-चुप रहना सीखो, कहना नहीं।

लड़कों के सबक़ होतें हैं – लड़के हो, रोना नहीं,

आँसू नहीं बहाना, ज़िम्मेदार और मज़बूत रहना।

अंदर हीं अंदर घुटती भावनाओं

और दर्द के नासूर का क्या करना?

अपनी तकलीफ़-पीड़ा किसे है बतानी?

अपने लिए खड़े होना कौन सिखायेगा?

सच तो यह है –

भावनाओं और दर्द से भरा बारूद ना बन,

पहले ख़ुद से, अपने दिल-दिमाग़-रूह से प्यार कर।

खुशहाल ज़िंदगी के हक़दार है हम सब।
