Menstrual Hygiene Day, May 28

Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD, MH Day in short) is an annual awareness day on May 28 to highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene management (MHM). It was initiated by the German-based NGO WASH Unitedin 2014 and aims to benefit women and girls worldwide. The 28th was selected to acknowledge that 28 days is the average length of the menstrual cycle.

    1. I don’t understand, Why can’t we talk about menstruation?
      Have you heard about Ambubachi mela held at Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam ? It is believed that the presiding goddess of the temple, Devi Kamakhya, the Mother Shakti, goes through her annual cycle of menstruation during this time stretch.

        Yup, I have read about this festival , they even , give the cloth piece as parsad to devotees and here are those same people who think to talk about it as bad and consider it impure 😅😅

      मुझे लगता है, आज का युवा वर्ग काफ़ी समझदार होता जा रहा है. शायद गाँवों में भी ऐसी सुधार आए.
